Our First Pop-up

In October 2020, we held our first event. This virtual event was a pop-up to give high school students an opportunity to experience what it could be like to be an Inspired Aesthetics artist. The students spent 2 days participating in teambuilding, group discussions, and breakout art workshops creating original works.

Providing Access and Experience

For our first in-person event we spent the weekend with students exploring the world of ceramics. This event gave young people access to an art form the majority had not had the opportunity to try before. Over the course of 2 days, they viewed exhibits, toured spaces, spoke with both college students and professional artists, received hands on instruction, and created their own original work. While many had never thrown pottery, and nerves were high, they were eager to learn, and picked it up quickly. This experience would not be one they would soon forget.
